Founder/Program Committee Member/Panel Moderator/Panelist of the New York Obesity Symposium: Advances in Weight Management at Weill Cornell Medical College. This day-long symposium featured experts from New York's major medical centers, covering pathophysiology, epidemiology, and interventions for obesity, with lectures, case presentations, and panel discussions. This symposium aimed to improve clinicians' knowledge and skillset in combating obesity and foster multi-institutional collaborations from within the New York institutions, advancing the study of obesity. Co-Creator of the Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates (WCIMA) Weight Management Practice. This practice enables Internal Medicine residents rotating through the Weight Management Elective (See Below) to care for patients referred to the WCIMA Weight Management practice. The residents enact management plans under the guidance of Dr. Louis Aronne, Dr. Jonathan Waitman, and Dr. Rekha Kumar. This provides educational opportunities for the residents and offers patients specialized weight management care that they otherwise may not be able to afford.

Creator and Co-Director of this 2-week-long Weight Management Elective offered throughout the academic year to members of the internal medicine housestaff who are interested in learning more about the obesity epidemic, its epidemiology, etiology, assessment and management. Clinical sites and involved faculty members include: The office of Dr. Louis Aronne/Dr. Jonathan Waitman, Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates and its Weight Management Practice, Dr. Alfons Pomp/Dr. Gregory Dakin and their respective Bariatric Surgery clinics, Dr. Richard Mahler/Dr. Jason Baker/Dr. Rekha Kumar and their endocrinology practices, Dr. Mark Pecker/Dr. Samuel Mann and their Hypertension practices, Dr. Ana Krieger/Dr. Daniel Barone and the Cornell Sleep Medicine Center, Dr. John Barnard/Dr. Rebecca Ascunce and their Cardiology practices, Dr. Marci Goolsby/Dr. James Kinderknecht and their Primary Care Sports Medicine practices. Additional lecturers include: Dr. Louis Aronne (Pharmacotherapy for Obesity), Dr. Jonathan Waitman (Nutrition), Dr. Erica-Phillips-Caesar (Epidemiology and Racial Disparity in Obesity), Dr. Erica Jones (Obesity-Related Hypertension and Lipid Disorders), Dr. Evelyn Attia/Dr. Vivian Pender (Eating Disorders), Dr. Michael Parks (Obesity-Related Osteoarthritis), Dr. Rekha Kumar (Endocrine Disorders).  Personally developed course syllabus which supplements all topics/lectures with additional educational material.
